THIS MONTH'S PICK

At twenty six #3 by Nelli Palomäki.

Helsinki School

MEILAHTI ART MUSEUM presents the hottest contemporary video and photographic art. This joint exhibition by the new generation of artists from the Helsinki School of photography showcases internationally acclaimed artists who all are current or former students or teachers of photography at the University of Art and Design Helsinki.

Although the works of The Helsinki School’s members are not strictly defined by nationality, geography or artistic style, they are all still characterised by conceptualism and the Northern dimension. On the whole, the common denominator of the works exhibited at Meilahti is an attitude towards photography that is distinctive and respecting of creativity.
